Culture Night 2018
21 September is Culture Night and we are delighted to host an evening of music with The Traditional Arts Partnership from 7.30pm – 9pm.
The Traditional Arts Partnership (TAP), was founded in 2011, to celebrate and develop further the musical heritage and culture of south Armagh and (just as importantly) to develop the social skills and self-confidence of young musicians. TAP’s philosophy can be summed up in these three words ‘ceol with soul!’ and the members firmly believe that music belongs to us all, that tunes should be played with a smile.
The Museum exhibitions will also be open to the public from 6pm - 9pm and you will see the changes in the galleries, corridors and displays that took place earlier due to a major revamp.
The new artefacts, five new cases, and new interactive displays along with two new temporary exhibitions, 'Centre Stage: A History of Performing Arts in Newry and Mourne' and 'An Excursion into the History of the Newry and Warrenpoint Railway' means you will have something new to see.
There is no cost for this event.
